NMC FMGL Guidelines 2021 – Mandatory for MBBS Abroad

To practice medicine in India after completing MBBS abroad, students must ensure the university complies with NMC’s new FMGL (Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate) Regulations:

🔹 The university must be recognized by WHO and NMC
🔹 Total course duration must be at least 54 months (4.5 years)
🔹 12 month mandatory internship must be completed in the same country and same institutions where the academic course was undertaken.
🔹 The medium of instruction must be english throughout the entire program.
🔹 Clinical training must be full time and conducted in one country not split across multiple institutions or countries.

🔹 The Student must obtain a license to practice medicine in the country of graduation
